Cory Wright graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1998 with a BFA in Painting. In addition to being a private art instructor & studio painter, for many years Cory was primarily a muralist, specializing in the “trompe l’oeil” style. After discovering a passion for painting en plein air with oils during a workshop in Italy, she began participating in & winning awards at various Paint Out events. Cory paints full-time & exhibits her work in several galleries. Favorite subjects of hers include the white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island, FL where she lives, the rural landscape around her family’s farm in East Tennessee, and the landscape of Italy.
