Natalie Stewart is native to deciduous forests and sedimentary mountains, but her delight for big skies, calm seas, and endless horizons have drawn her around the world. 

The map of her artistic explorations is a warren of painting, documentary filmmaking, editing, illustration, songwriting, poetry, dance, birth photography, costume design, fashion, and screenwriting—  with her storytelling surfacing in the most unexpected of places: a Southeast DC public school, a rural Bhutanese village, a trash-strewn coastline in Conakry.

Untangled from the expanse of her imagination, her work evokes an appreciation for the elements of nature and the simple stories of everyday human life.
