Cory Wright graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1998
with a BFA in Painting. In addition to being a private art instructor & studio painter, for many years Cory was primarily a muralist, specializing in the “trompe l’oeil” style. In 2011, after discovering a passion for painting en plein air with oils during a workshop in Italy, Cory began participating in & winning awards at various Paint Out events throughout the state of Florida, where she has resided since 2004. Cory paints full-time & exhibits her work in several galleries. Her paintings are now held in numerous national & international private collections. Favorite subjects of hers include the white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island, FL where she lives, the rural landscape around her family’s farm in East Tennessee, and the landscape of Italy, which she tries to get back to & paint as often as possible! These days Cory can most often be found outdoors at her easel or creating larger pieces from plein air work in her studio.
